Housing Authority employees have many worthwhile and advantageous benefits available to them.
The Authority works an alternative workweek schedule (AWS). Our AWS is a nine day/80 hour/two week period and our employees are off every other Friday.
We offer nine different medical plans for our employees to choose from.
Benefits start the first of the month after your hire date.
The cost of benefits start at no additional cost to the employee.
Dental and Vision
We offer two dental plans and one vision for employees to choose from.
Short and Long Term Disability Insurance
The Authority pays the total cost for STD and LTD for employees.
The Authority pays for the entire cost of life insurance for employees at two times their annual salary. Additional life insurance is available for the employees to purchase at group rates.
The Authority sponsors a 457 Retirement plan that employees may participate in.
The Authority is contracted with the California State Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) to provide a retirement pension to employees who qualify by age and years of service.
Full-time employees earn 12 days of sick leave a year. There is no limit to the amount of sick leave an employee can accrue. Unused sick leave is available for pension service credit when the employee retires.
Vacation and Holidays
Full-time employees earn 12 days of vacation per year to start and the Authority has 16 holidays per year.
